I’m dumb late, but ran across Raveena Aurora on Instagram of all places. Peeped a few video clips of her covering some Sam Cook & D’Angelo, and was impressed enough to dig more.
Sweet voice (giving me Amel Larrieux, Corinne Bailey Rae, Nora Jones, and maybe more recently, Snoh Aalegra vibes), with really nice instrumentation (horns and glockenspiel on swole).
Everett Orr seems to have produced the joints of hers I like, and definitely curious to hear more—you know, like a full project, and gimme these Groove Theory waves I’ve been missing since high school.
