Most people that know of K-OTIX / The Legendary KO came to know us with the release of “Universal” back in 2001. As great of an album as it was, some of the most frequently asked questions were about the cover. Whose idea was it to do the cover? What was the inspiration? Is it true that there was another version of the cover?
For the first time ever, all of these questions will now be answered…
And in case you didn’t fully understand how we felt about the situation:

Maybe it would have been too difficult for them to put the multiple UPC codes on Frank’s cover?
WHAT Norrin Radd can’t get no hip-hop love???????????
He didn’t even have a surfboard. Fool was Swimming. In. Space.
it really is terrible considering I still have about 50 or so Landspeed “artist’s” singles that are straight garbage (I can’t even give them away) that were sent to me free of charge while they made yall pay for your own copies of what probably was the best shit to come through those offices……damn.
I am still of the firm belief that if yall had been from the Boston area, you would not have been treated that way. First because they obviously gave the Boston cats way more love than any other artists on their distribution list, but secondly cause I’m fairly sure you guys would have torched the offices had they not answered your knock.
You do have to admit, in a weird sort of way, they helped birth a international following for you guys that not too many independent HipHop artists have ever seen, today, or in the past.
ya’ll niggas was showin’ naked. LOL
Just butt naked wit his arms out like “The world is Mine”
paragraphs one and two in reference to Landspeed, and third goes to Bronx Science. Not to confuse the confused.
I agree – we used to talk about that all the time. They definitely used the distance to their advantage. If I ever meet David Walis, I will break his back and piss in his ear – but in a nice way.
Looks like he was dry-humping the K-OTIX logo. If I was a conspiracy theorist, i’d say that it was intentional. How ironic.
Damien`s facial expression in the video…..Priceless. I remember working at our local record store and getting the album sent to us.Me and my crew didn`t think anything of the cover. The album is dead-on dope and I still listen to it to this day. and oh,please re-release the 8 mc`s joint you guys did.
