Hear it straight from Frank (Frank N’ Dank) and J Dilla as they tell tales of meeting Q-Tip for the first time, fist fights over S950 vs ASR-10 capabilities, and a rare studio session with Notorious B.I.G. It hurts to see Dilla in a wheelchair, nonetheless this is still a very important piece of footage. Big shout to my man Mr Floyd for the hookup!
Original Demo Version

wowzers. i might have to steal this post
If I’m not mistaken, this is from the Frank N Dank’s European Vacation DVD, which I *still* need to find. I knew this whole story but I didn’t know Dilla was actually in the studio while B.I.G. recorded it. Dope.
p.s. The Nottz beat for Born Again was no fucking slouch EITHER.
Nottz might be my favourite producer whenever he comes to mind. The bounce in his beats just make everything fun.
This is the full joint, right?

I wish I could remember where I got this.
i cant lie…the nottz version wins, but this is cool to see that they linked up before. i had the jay dee version from when around the time dilla passed and someone put it online. i never knew it was official though
This did come as a surprise when I first saw this. The beat is dope. Just to think this was a diss track for Pac`. The “Do For Love ” beat he did for 2Pac was crazy also. Rest In Power Dilla.
great post. never knew about this.
That beat was so ill, I *KNEW* he said Dilla in the song he made after he died…
